Civil Marriage Rights

In January, 2007, 63 House and Senate members voted (or did not vote at all) to put the civil marriage rights of same sex couples at risk. They did this by supporting a popular vote to amending the Massachusetts Constitution, and enshrine discrimination in the world's oldest constitution.
