Catie Curtis has been an advocate for LGBTQ rights for the past 25 years, as a well-known out gay singer/songwriter. The honesty with which she expresses her identity has helped others on their own journeys to authenticity, whether related to gender, sexuality or simply accepting oneself wholeheartedly. Through her recorded music, live shows, media appearances, and songwriting workshops, Catie speaks to a wide audience to garner support for and understanding of LGBTQ issues.
For the past five years, Catie has produced over 100 concerts and events to raise awareness and funds for the DC-based non-profit Americans United for Separation of Church and State. Americans United educates, lobbies and litigates to support LGBTQ rights and reproductive freedoms, and to fight faith-based discrimination.
