Franc is a recent arrival to the New England area and is extremely excited to be part of the Greater Boston PFLAG team. Prior to Boston, Franc lived in Miami, Florida for over 20 years where he began his career as a commercial banker and was a Vice President at several global and super regional financial institutions. During his corporate career, he served on several non-profit boards to include SAVE Dade, Care Resource and the Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival. In 2008, Franc transitioned from the corporate world to serve as the Executive Director of the Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival. During his tenure, Franc was able to diversify the organization’s revenue stream equally between corporate sponsorships, grants, major donor revenues and event ticket sales. Franc also expanded the organization’s programming from a 10-day film festival in Miami Beach to an additional 4-day film festival in Fort Lauderdale and two monthly screening series for both Miami and Fort Lauderdale. In his free time, Franc enjoys spending weekends with his boyfriend in Provincetown and going to independent films.
