Greater Boston PFLAG Welcomes New Executive Director Sunnie Kaufmann-Paulman

WALTHAM, January 31, 2020. Greater Boston PFLAG is pleased to announce the appointment of Sunnie Kaufmann-Paulman as its new Executive Director. Sunnie (she/her/hers) is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of mission-driven experience in education, sports, and nonprofit program administration. She most recently served as the Executive Director of Brooklyn Boulders Foundation. She currently serves as Secretary on the Executive Committee of the Board of Family Equality whose mission is to advance legal and lived equality for LGBTQ families and those who wish to form them. She also serves as the Program Committee Chair and was a founding member of the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Task Force with Family Equality.

Speaking on behalf of the Board, Chair Debbra Zucker said “We are fortunate to have someone of Sunnie’s caliber and experience to lead Greater Boston PFLAG. This is an exciting time for the organization and Sunnie brings the expertise and passion to successfully implement our strategy and continue the growth and successes we’ve achieved over the past few years.”

Sunnie currently lives in Arlington with her spouse Tori and their daughter Anika. She says, “I’m thrilled to bring my professional acumen, volunteer experience, and dedication to LGBTQ+ advocacy to Greater Boston PFLAG and join the staff and board in this critical work.” 

Sunnie will begin in her new role on February 24, 2020.
