Like many shy, awkward kids, I was an avid reader. I consumed books. Inhabited them. And from a young age, it was easy for me to see myself in the main characters, assume their realities, and grapple with my place in the world via their stories. Like the titular character in Bread and Jam For Frances, I was deeply suspicious of soft-boiled eggs and prone to repetition in my food choices.

On March 3rd it was the esteemed privilege and honor for the GBPFLAG Executive team to join the celebration of the 50th anniversary of PFLAG National at their gala in New York City.  #leadingwithlove

Jules (they/he) reads a lot of LGBTQ+ books in their spare time and is telling us about a few of their favorite ones for kids. This book, although written for high-schoolers, is great for adults as well!
